Accessibility Statement
CampusCAT is committed to making our learning platform accessible to students with disabilities. This statement describes our conformance goals, current status, and how to get help.
Conformance target
We are working toward WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance for:
- The CampusCAT web application at campuscat.ai
- The CampusCAT mobile application for iOS and Android
We use the VPAT 2.5 (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template) framework when documenting conformance for institutional procurement.
Current status: Partial conformance. Core flows are usable with assistive technology in many areas, but we have known gaps. We do not yet publish a third-party VPAT.
What we are doing
- Maintaining an accessibility program with defined ownership and scope
- Enforcing WCAG-oriented requirements in development
- Prioritizing remediation on high-traffic student flows: authentication, home, classes, study session, calendar, capture, and materials
- Planning automated accessibility checks and periodic screen reader testing
Known limitations (summary)
As of May 2026, common gaps include:
- Incomplete keyboard focus management on some custom modals (web)
- Missing or inconsistent accessible names on some icon-only controls
- Form errors not always programmatically associated with fields
- Color contrast not fully verified across all UI
- Animations may not respect “reduce motion” preferences everywhere
- PDF viewers, recordings, and user-uploaded content may vary in accessibility
Assistive technology
| Platform | Technologies |
|---|---|
| Web | Keyboard navigation; NVDA or JAWS with Chrome/Edge; VoiceOver with Safari |
| iOS | VoiceOver with the CampusCAT app |
| Android | TalkBack with the CampusCAT app |
Supported browsers: current Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Firefox (last two major versions).
Feedback and accommodations
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, need content in an alternative format, or want to request an accommodation:
Accessibility: accessibility@campuscat.ai
General support: admin@campuscat.ai
Please include:
- A description of the issue
- The page or screen (URL or feature name)
- Your browser or device and assistive technology (if applicable)
We will acknowledge requests within 5 business days and work toward a remedy or alternative access where feasible.
Formal complaints (U.S. higher education)
Students at U.S. institutions may also contact their campus Disability Services or ADA coordinator. CampusCAT will cooperate with institutions to support reasonable accommodations.
