Terms of Service

The rules and responsibilities for using CampusCAT.

Effective: May 28, 2026Last Updated: May 28, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CampusCAT website, web application, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Walter Digital LLC ("CampusCAT," "we," "our," or "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CampusCAT, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use CampusCAT. If you are under 18, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Service. CampusCAT is designed for students managing their own academic work and is not intended for children under 13.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it when it changes.

You may delete your account through in-app settings where available, or as described on our account deletion page.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws
  • Upload content you do not have the right to use or share
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including through automated scraping or abuse
  • Misrepresent your affiliation with any school, instructor, or institution
  • Use the Service to cheat, violate academic integrity policies, or facilitate dishonesty

5. User Content Ownership

You retain ownership of content you upload, submit, or create in CampusCAT, including syllabi, notes, recordings, and study materials. You grant CampusCAT a limited license to host, process, display, and use that content solely to operate and improve the Service for you, including through AI-assisted features you request.

6. Intellectual Property

CampusCAT and its logos, software, designs, and documentation are owned by Walter Digital LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited rights granted in these Terms, no license is granted to you.

7. Artificial Intelligence Disclaimer

CampusCAT provides AI-generated educational assistance. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies and should not be relied upon as the sole source for academic decisions.

Features such as Ask The Cat, flashcards, practice questions, summaries, and scheduling suggestions are assistive tools. You are responsible for verifying outputs before relying on them for coursework, exams, or deadlines.

8. Academic Responsibility Disclaimer

Users remain solely responsible for verifying assignments, exam dates, deadlines, academic requirements, and course expectations. CampusCAT does not guarantee that imported syllabi, calendar events, or AI-extracted dates are complete or correct.

9. Subscription and Billing Terms

Some CampusCAT plans are offered on a paid subscription basis through Stripe or platform billing (such as Apple App Store or Google Play, when applicable). Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless canceled before the renewal date.

  • Recurring billing: Subscription fees are charged in advance on a recurring monthly basis (or as displayed at checkout) until you cancel.
  • Automatic renewal: Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel through the billing method you used to subscribe (CampusCAT account billing settings, Stripe customer portal, or your App Store / Play Store subscription settings).
  • Price changes: We may change subscription prices with notice as required by law or platform rules. Changes apply to subsequent billing periods.
  • Taxes: Prices may exclude applicable taxes, which may be added at checkout where required.

Free or basic tiers may have usage limits. See in-app plan details for current limits and features.

10. Cancellation and Refund Policy

You may cancel a subscription at any time through your CampusCAT account (Manage Subscription), the Stripe customer portal, or your mobile app store subscription settings. Cancellation stops future charges; you typically retain access through the end of the current paid period unless otherwise stated at checkout.

Refunds are handled according to the platform where you purchased:

  • Web / Stripe: Contact support@campuscat.ai within 14 days of charge if you believe a billing error occurred. Refunds are granted at our discretion except where required by law.
  • Apple App Store / Google Play: Refund requests must be submitted through Apple or Google according to their policies; CampusCAT cannot issue refunds for purchases made through those stores.

Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable refund rights under applicable consumer protection laws.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CampusCAT and Walter Digital LLC are not responsible for missed assignments, missed exams, academic performance outcomes, lost data, scheduling conflicts, or educational consequences resulting from use of the platform.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or (b) fifty U.S. dollars ($50). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

12. Service Availability

We strive to keep CampusCAT available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, updates, third-party outages, or events beyond our control may affect availability. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.

13. Changes to Service

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your place of residence apply. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
